Physio

I have been promised physio but not been sent an appointment (yet!) but have not been given the option of seeing a hospital specialist as (or so I was told) they are only interested in seeing people with RA unless and until your OA is severe enough to need surgery. Is this true?

  • Hi Linda

Welcome to the forum, its great to see you posting . When I was offered Physio it took up to 6 weeks to get and actual appointment so just hang on there and wait for a letter or an e-mail to inform you of an . until then just actual date until then just continue to post to get other peoples views on their experience

    All the best Christine

  • It's a good idea to have physio before you get to the acute stage, it will help your joints last longer and keep your muscles which are supporting the joint in good health to take over protecting your new joint.

You can self refer if your want to
